When we get married, we know that it is for better or worse and we try to make the most out of our marriage. There is also another clause in the promises we make, and that is we will stick together, till death do us part.
This leads us to one of the more difficult things we may ever face in life, losing someone we thought would be a partner forever when they fall asleep in death. It can be difficult to adjust to life without them by our side and we cry tears for years as we grieve the situation.
There is also something that needs to be considered by anyone who finds themselves in such a difficult situation. They need to decide if they are going to move on and date others, and that is a decision that was also thought about within the Irwin family.
When Steve Irwin died, he left behind a wife and two children. His family has a true love of life and they constantly show it in the things that they say and do.
Terri Irwin also found herself in such a difficult situation when a few years ago, it was rumored that she was dating Russell Crowe. They were never dating and she says that he is a great guy but only a dear friend.
She also gave an interview in 2017 and discussed why she wasn’t interested in dating after Steve passed away.
“I haven’t dated anyone in the ten years since we lost Steve just because I feel a connection still with Steve. You know when you take those vows, and say ‘we’ll be together as long as we both shall live,’ I really don’t think I would’ve married if I hadn’t met Steve.”
“And he’s very special to me and continues to be. And I’ve got beautiful kids and a lot of wonderful conservation work, so, I’m lonely for Steve but I’m not a lonely person.”
Her daughter, Bindi also backed up the mother saying that she just wanted her to be happy. She said that once you find your soulmate, you really don’t want to move on.
We know that life can’t be difficult living without the one that meant that much to you. We hope the family has peace during this difficult time.
