Jason Momoa and the mother of his two children, Lisa bonet are officially separated. Since Momoa was a little boy, he had a crush on Bonet, where he saw her on the TV. Momoa even talked with his mother about being married to Bonet when he was a child, which he explained on his appearance on “The Late Late Show” with James Corden.
As he shared, he was obsessive over Bonet. Until 2005, he kept dreaming about her, and in 2005, he met with Bonet at a jazz club in New York.
As he met with Bonet, he charmed her with his wit and humor. Then he gave her a ride to his hotel. They had drink together that night, and that night things started for them. Momoa shared, “I love her,” as they were drinking Guinness which Bonet ordered.
“I’m a full-fledged stalker. I didn’t tell her that until we had two babies.” Momoa joked in his appearance at the late night show.
After dating for twelve years, the couple got married in 2017.
As the couple had announced their split in 2022, the whole world got shocked, as they were believing that they were madly in love, and would last forever.
In the statement they shared, they explained that they do not want to be the attention center, and they will respect each other on their own journeys.
At the premiere of “Ambulance,” in Los Angeles, Momoa talked about the rumors, and cleared them as he explained that they were only having a friendly chat.
“Absolutely not, not together.” Momoa shared. He also joked that he will never lend his jacket in the future to avoid speculations.
Two years after their announcement, Momoa and Bonet had finalized their divorce, as they stated in the lawsuit that there were irreconcilable differences in their marriage. They are sharing their children, daughter Lola Momoa and their son, Nakoa-Wolf Momoa.
Bonet also has another daughter, Zoë Kravitz, from her marriage with Lenny Kravitz. The couple had agreed on joint custody, and Bonet didn’t wanted any spousal support.
