Most people are familiar with Bill Hayes because of the role that he played on the television soap opera. When he was born, he was given the name William Foster Hayes III but most people simply know him as Bill.
He leaves behind quite a legacy, and that includes leaving behind his wife, Susan, as they have shared a romance both on and off the screen. People absolutely loved paying attention to what was going on in their lives.
Not only was he known for his acting, but he also had musical success as well. In 1955, he was famous for the number-one hit song, The Ballad of Davy Crockett. He also has 12 Daytime Emmy award nominations and a Lifetime Achievement award for his work, and he shares them with his wife.
Since 1970, he has been known for playing Doug Williams on the soap opera. He had an on-screen romance with the woman that would eventually become his wife, as they were married in 1974. In 1976, they had a wedding on the soap opera.
The couple has five children together, and he is also a grandfather, who is survived by 12 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. As a devoted family man, he will be missed by many.
Five days before passing, he shared an Instagram post to celebrate the holiday along with his wife. It is sure to be something that will be remembered by many.
