One of the most difficult times for many of us is if we are on a long flight and we just don’t feel as good as we should. Perhaps we are uneasy with flying long distances or maybe we just don’t like being close to others, but it can be a very difficult time.
It is especially difficult when you are a child because you are truly out of your element. That is what happened 2 a 5-year-old when she was on a long distance fight with her mother, Nicola. They were on their way to Canada leaving from Africa, and the little girl was stressed out.
The good news is, there was a clearing grandmother on the flight who wanted to take the little girl under her wing and care for her in a way that only a grandmother could. The woman didn’t speak English, but they spoke a special language between the two of them because there was a lot of love involved.
After posting the video online, it went viral almost immediately. People were absolutely loving what this woman did and her kindness truly showed through.
In fact, one of the commenters was even asking for an emotional support grandmother on the next flight that she took! I think that we could all use that.
As far as the little girl’s mother is concerned, she said: “No words were exchange between my 5 year old and this sweet lady in the seat next to her. Just pure love, comfort and human kindness, something the world needs more than ever now.”
