When I gave birth to our daughter, my husband said he wanted a son. A year later, he hinted that it was time to try for a boy. I didn’t mind but wanted to wait a few more years. My husband kept pushing, saying, “If you don’t do it, someone else will!” When our daughter was 3, he left us. He had been seeing another woman for 2 years, and she was pregnant.
The divorce took a long time; he even wanted half of our silverware. He finally got the son he wanted, and then another one two years later. That was 11 years ago.
Recently, my ex’s mother called and asked to meet. I didn’t want to, but I agreed. She told me that my ex was getting divorced because his wife found out he was having another affair. He said he would fight for full custody of their sons, but his wife told him the boys weren’t his, and a DNA test proved it.
My ex’s mother asked me to forgive him and take him back because our daughter is his only child. Of course, I refused.
