We sometimes hear about just how far love will take us, and nobody knows this better than a young man in Brazil named David Caesar.

His wife, Bruna de Sousa suffered from a medical issue that left her in a vegetative state. David has dedicated the past few years of his life to taking care of his wife.

It started when the two of them were watching TV together in 2018. She began having convulsions because of cardiorespiratory arrest. He said that within a matter of a few minutes, she lost all vital signs.

They rushed her to the hospital and they revived her after 25 minutes, but she had been without oxygen for a long time.

According to David, she had suffered from a disorder that does not affect the nervous system’s basic functions but does keep her from perceiving her surroundings. That has left her in a permanent vegetative state.

As a result of dedicating years of his life to taking care of his wife, he reaches out on social media to help with expenses. He has been unemployed because of the dedication he has to care for the woman he loves.

After the incident, she was hospitalized for close to two years. David has struggled to meet the needs of both he and his partner, and even though she is at home, she still needs special assistance, food, and medication.

It has been more than five years since that life-changing day, but he continues to capture memories and post them on Instagram. Many of his followers watch to get any updates.

There may also be hope, but it comes at a cost of $19,000 so they are hoping to get enough money through donations to get the medication and take the physiotherapy.
