16-Year-Old Girl Tragically Killed, Her Last Social Media Post Will Break Your Heart

Marietta, Georgia – A heart-wrenching tragedy unfolded on Monday as a young life was cut short in a fiery car crash. Liv Teverino, a beloved junior at Marietta High School, met a tragic end when her 2016 Volvo XC90 collided with a tree on Burnt Hickory Road near Devonwood Trail, igniting into flames. Authorities were quick to respond, but the intensity of the blaze had already consumed the vehicle.

Liv Teverino was more than just a student; she was a beacon of light within her community, known for her passion, dedication, and leadership. Superintendent Grant Rivera of the Marietta Police Department paid tribute to her remarkable qualities, saying, “Liv was a scholar, athlete, and community leader. As part of the MHS International Baccalaureate Programme and our state-champion cross-country team, she represent passion and dedication. As with everything she undertook, Liv excelled, leaving an indelible mark of excellence.”

Her involvement extended beyond school, as she was selected to be part of this year’s Cobb Youth Leadership cohort, highlighting her influence and leadership outside the classroom.

As the Marietta community grapples with the loss, friends and classmates remember Liv for her kindness and love. Isaac Phillips, a close friend, described her as someone who lived life to the fullest, guided by faith, and anyone fortunate enough to know her was touched by her goodness.

Liv’s impact was not confined to her school. She was a beloved figure in her church, St. Joseph’s, where she served as an altar server and generously gave her time to help others.

Liv’s friends have left flowers and heartfelt messages at the crash site, many of them in her favorite color, yellow, as a tribute to her vibrant spirit.
