Dad Recreates High School Grad Pic With His Daughter 18 Years Later

If you spend any amount of time on the Internet and social media, you’re going to see photo re-creations. These can be very touching, as they show before and after in a very nice way.

Some re-creation photos take things to an entirely different level, and we see one here. It happened when Dennis Roach posted a picture in 2018 at his daughter’s high school graduation.

This wasn’t the first time they found themselves in this situation. In 2000, Dennis was at his own graduation and he got a picture with his little girl as they shared a moment together.

It happened when Dennis graduated from high school and his infant daughter, Tori, was there to celebrate with him. He was giving Tori a little kiss at the time and it was a wonderful reminder for many years of the relationship they have with each other.

Fast forward 18 years later, and Tori was now graduating from high school. Her father, Dennis, was there to witness the moment, and they decided to do something special.

They thought back to the picture that had been taken 18 years earlier at his graduation. It was then they had the idea of re-creating the picture, and we are all piles of mush because of it.

In the picture, he is holding Tori as he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She posted it on social media, captioning it: “18 years later.” It went viral with almost 150,000 likes.

Many people who commented on the video said how happy they were to see this moment take place. There was something else, however, that they couldn’t help but notice.

It was the fact that Dennis seemed to be timeless, and it didn’t appear as if he had aged a day since the original picture.

Tori had an opportunity to talk about this situation with People. She said: “I woke up and I had a ton of notifications. People had started sharing and liking and commenting all over again. My dad was really proud. We’re from a small town, so nothing like this really ever happens. And he was like, ‘That’s so cool!’”

She added: “It brought me and my dad closer in a way because we could share that moment, and I feel that not many other people get to experience that.”
